Commitment to Nicholas Gascoigne and Richard Gascoigne, by mainprise of John Dautry, clerk, of the county of Gloucester, and James Manston of the county of York, of the keeping of 10 acres of land in Wakefeld, a moiety of a bovate of land in Flanshowe, a toft and 4 bovates of waste land and 8 acres of meadow in Horbury, 3 acres of land in Wakefeld and Stanelaye, and a bovate of land containing 8 acres in Neweton by Wakefeld, which are extended at 11s. 8d. yearly and are in the king's hand because John de Warenna, late earl of Surrey, who held them in chief of Edward III by knight service, alienated them to divers persons without the king's licence, to hold the same from Easter next for fifteen years, rendering 13s. 4d. yearly at the Exchequer by equal portions at Kaster and Michaelmas ; with clause touching maintenance of buildings etc. By bill of the treasurer.
