Commitment to the king's servitor, William Horscroft of London, pelter, by mainprise of Giles Malore of the county of Northampton, chivaler, and Henry White of the county of Middlesex, of the keeping of the manor of Westle, co. Suffolk, which once belonged to Laurence de Hastynges, late earl of Pembroke, (as is said), and is in the king's hand for certain causes, to hold the same from Michaelmas next for as long as the manor shall remain in the king's hand for such cause, rendering 6 marks yearly by equal portions at the Easter and Michaelmas Exchequers, (to wit, 52s. 3d., at which sum the manor was extended, and 27s. 9d. of increment); with clause touching maintenance of buildings etc. By p.s.
