to Edward de Cretyng, sheriff of Norfolk and Suffolk, de Clere, reciting the appointment of them and John de to receive recognisances from those of the county of Norfolk acknowledge themselves before them to be bound in any the ninth granted to the king by the commons of the realm, make inquisition in the said county of the names of those so and how much each owes and how and in what manner; and them to levy all such money, to be received by the said and delivered to the said John by the hands of the sheriff by between him and John under Robert's seal, to be brought Exchequer at Westminster under safe-conduct and delivered treasurer and chamberlains; the king wishing Robert to be from rendering account thereof, and having ordered John and bring the money to the Exchequer.
