Grant to John de Clynton, to whom the king by letters patent granted for life all the king's lands in Donaghmayn, co. Louth, in _Tyeland, for 4/. yearly rent at the Exchequer of Dublin, that by sufficient security to be found before the treasurer and barons of that Exchequer he pay 20s. at Michaelmas next and 20s. at Easter following and so from year to year 40s. until the 48 marks arrears demanded of him by summons of that Exchequer be fully paid there, and that by the same security he pay his farm there at the usual terms; he having prayed for such attermination because he has been hindered by the Irish who are often hostile to the king's peace and fealty, and among whom the said lands lie, from levying the issues and profits thereof.
