Order to the collectors of customs in the port of Boston to permit the king's kinsman, William de Bohun, earl of Northampton, by his servants to lade in the said port 100 sacks of his own wool and to take them thence to Andewerp in Brabant without paying custom or subsidy, so that the custom and subsidy be paid beyond seas to the king's clerk, William de Northwell, keeper of the wardrobe, taking from the earl or his attorneys his letters patent testifying thereto, the king having assented to the earl's petition hereon, in consideration of his great and costly labours in the king's service long time, and of the good place which he holds daily in the expedition of the king's affairs ; and the king will cause allowance hereof to be made to the collectors in their account at the Exchequer.
