Order to the mayor and bailiffs and the whole commonalty of the city of York to be intendant to Nicholas de Langeton, William Fox and Nicholas de Scorreby, whom the king has appointed to sue and receive from the men of York the tenth granted with a fifteenth in the council at Westminster on Friday before Michaelmas last [p. 50], so that they answer therefor at the Exchequer in moieties at the Ascension next and Midsummer following for the first year, and for the two years residue in moieties on the morrow of St. Andrew and on the Purification.
