Grant to Hugh de Courteneye, earl of Devon, to whom the king by letters patent dated 22 February last committed the keeping of the hundred of Buddelegh, co. Devon, for ten years [p. 4], of that hundred, to hold to him and his heirs at fee farm, rendering 60s. a year at the Exchequer by the hands of the sheriff of Devon, so that he keep the same according to the form of the statute published thereon ; in consideration of the good place he has held and can hold towards the king and the people of those parts.
