Order to the escheator beyond Trent, pursuant to an inquisition by him shewing that Mary late the wife of John de Meerk held lands in her demesne as of fee in chief, but held the manor of for life, the reversion whereof Cecily late the wife Humphrey de Hastang, to whom it belonged, granted by licence Edward I to Philip de Hastang and his heirs, and that the manor held in chief by the service of keeping two of the king's falcons at king's costs, and that Beatrice, daughter of the said Philip, whom de Lungevill has taken to wife, is Philip's next heir and of age, to deliver the said manor to the said Thomas and Beatrice, having done homage. : By p.s.
