to sheriffs, escheators, bailiffs, ministers and others to be to Richard de Wynneferthing, William de Neuporth and Buzun, to whom the king has committed the keeping of the late of John de Ros in the counties of York, Lincoln, Rutland, and Suffolk, taken for certain causes into the king's hand, they depute bailiffs, reeves and other ministers to the keeping said lands for the king's advantage, who shall answer in the chamthe issues thereof; appointment also of the said Richard, and Eustace, to receive from the escheators of those counties 10. _ tenant in chief, by indenture all goods and chattels late of the said John and taken into the king's hand by the said escheators and still in their hands, and to deliver the same by like indentures to the keepers of the lands deputed by them as aforesaid, so that those keepers answer in the chamber for the same, and to audit the accounts of the said escheators of all issues of the same lands, goods and chattels, for the whole time in which they have been in the keeping of the escheators, and to cause the lands to be extended and the goods and chattels to be valued.
