Order to the same to deliver to the prior and canons of the priory of Huntingdon the town of Hereford with the mills, co. Huntingdon, and 100 acres of land in Huntingdon, co. Huntingdon, with the issues thereof received by him from the time of the taking of the same into the king's hand ; the king having ordered him to [certify] the king of the cause of the taking thereof by him into the king's hand, and he having signified that they pertain to the said priory and are held in chief and that he took them into the king's hand because the priory is now void by the death of Walter de Evenle, late prior ; Henry III by charter having granted the town and mills to the prior and canons and their successors at fee farm at the yearly rent of 12/., and they holding the said land at the yearly rent of 10s. to the bailiffs of Huntingdon. . 17
