Order to the escheator beyond Trent to deliver to Aymer de his pourparty of the lands late of Maud de Kyme, tenant chief, he having done homage ; the king having learned by made after Maud's death that she held in chief certain in Luyton, co. Bedford, by knight service and that Joan de and Cecily de Bello Campo were her daughters and nearest and of full age; and Guy de Rupe Cauardi and Sibyl his wife the said Aymer having come to the king's court with the said Joan Cecily, who brought the said inquisitions, asserting that they coheirs with Joan and Cecily, which the latter acknowledged, the king caused the escheator to make inquisition, whereby was found that Sibyl was the daughter and Aymer the kinsman the said Maud and that they were coheirs with Joan and Cecily of full age, and caused the said lands to be divided into four equal and rendered to Joan, Cecily, Guy and Sibyl their pourparties they having done homage, and retained in his hand Aymer s as well by reason of the war between the king and the king of France as because he was born beyond seas; and the king wishing now to do him grace, he having come to the king after the war was ended and sued for his pourparty, although the king could retain - the same in his hand, as well because Aymer was born beyond seas as because the truth of his age could not be known or learned by inquisition in due form.
