Order to the escheator beyond Trent to deliver to Alexander de Balliolo the keeping of the manor of Hugham, co. Kent, until the next Parliament, so that he answer then for the value thereof if it should be found that the keeping should pertain to the king; Alexander having shewn that whereas the keeping pertains to him by reason of the minority of the heir of Robert de Hugham, because Robert held the manor of him by knight service by reason of the lands late of Isabel de Dovorr, sometime Alexander's wife, in his hand by the courtesy of England, the escheator, asserting that Robert held of the king, has taken the manor into the king's hand.
