Order to the escheator on this side Trent, reciting that whereas William de Bello Campo, earl of Warwick, who has taken to wife Maud, eldest sister and heir of Richard son of John, tenant in chief, and Idonia de Leyburn, niece and third heir of Richard, often came to the Chancery and sued instantly their pourparties of the inheritance of Richard on this side Trent, whereupon the king gave them a day before the king in Chancery, to wit, the morrow of the Close of Easter last, to receive their pourparties, and ordered the escheator to summon all other heirs before the king on that day, so that whether they came or not the king should assign to the said William, Maud and Idonia their pourparties, and Robert de Clifford, kinsman and third heir of Richard, and the others aforesaid came by their attorneys, the king, although Richard de Burgo, earl of Ulster, kinsman and heir, and Joan la Butiller, fourth sister and heir of Richard son of John, came not though summoned by the escheator, by assent of the said William, Maud, Idonia and Robert by their attorneys, assigned to William and Maud the manor of Chiriel, co. Wilts, held in chief and extended at 48/. 13s. 7d., and the manor of Potterespyri with the park and other appurtenances except 10/. 15s. 103d. of land and rent therein, which whole manor is extended at 39/. 153d., the king retaining the said 10l. 15s. 10 d. to be shared among the coheirs; and ordering the escheator to deliver to William and Maud their said pourparty, after taking security that they will come to the king at York on Whitsunday next to do homage ; so that when the said earl of Ulster and Joan come to sue their pourparties and wish to complain that William and Maud have more than pertains to them, the king may resume that pourparty ee with the residue of the inheritance divide the same among the neirs. . 399 to the same to deliver to the said Robert and Idonia the of Cleyndon, co. Buckingham, held in chief and extended at 7s. 8d., and the manor of Multon, co. Northampton, except 55s. 7d. rent therein, retained to be shared among the coheirs, after taking as above. it remembered that the said Robert and Idonia received their jointly under this form, to wit, that they should make of the said manors among themselves and send the same to to be enrolled. it remembered that the said William, Maud, Robert and Idonia their pourparties of the manor of Whitinton, which Theobald Butiller granted to the said Richard and his heirs, until Theobald have satisfied him or his executors of a sum of money, as is in an inquisition returned to Chancery.
