Order to the sheriff of Northampton, after taking security from Gilbert de Clare, earl of Gloucester and Hertford, for paying on the quinzaine of Easter next the 16/. 13d. demanded from him by summons of the Exchequer for the time whea Master Roger de Seyton was sheriff of the said county for fines of assizes, unless he can shew then before the barons of the Exchequer that he ought to be quit thereof, which sum the king has often respited until divers parliaments, to release the distraint made by him against the earl.
