Commitment to Thomas Langeley and John Legburn, clerks, hy mainprise of Peter Crull of the county of York and John Vale of the county of Gloucester, of the keeping of 2 tenements and 3 shops in Wodestrete in the parish of St. Peter, London, which belonged to Adam Bamme on the day of his death of the demise of Richard Weston, citizen and goldsmith of London, for term of 39 years to come, and which were seized into the hands of Richard II by Thomas Wilford and William Parker, late sheriffs of London, by name of 2 tenements and 3 shops in the parish of St. Michael in Wodestrete, London, and are in the king's hand by reason of a certain debt of 4961. 18s. 4d. which the said Adam and Gilbert Maghfeld, late collectors of the customs and subsidies on, wools, hides and woolfells in the port of London, owed to the said late king in respect of the balance of their account, and for other debts and accounts demanded of them to the late king's use ; to hold the same together with the mesne issues thereof from Michaelmas last for as long as the premises shall remain in the king's hand for the cause aforesaid, rendering 4/. yearly at the Exchequer by equal portions at Easter and Michaelmas ; with clause touching maintenance of buildings and support of charges.
