to John de Ty, escheator in the county of Kent, pursuant an inquisition made by William de Hatton, the late escheator, that John Fitz Bernard held by fine levied in the court of II the manor of Kyngesdon, co. Kent, to him and the heirs his body, with remainder to Bartholomew de Badlesmere, deceased, his heirs, and that by virtue of the said fine the manor ought to to the right heirs of Bartholomew, to wit, Maud Veer, countess Oxford, one of his daughters, Margery de Ros, another daughter, de Mortuo Mari, son and heir of Roger de Mortuo Mari, earl of March, son of Elizabeth, a third daughter, and Robert, and heir of Margaret late the wife of John Tibetoft, a fourth because the said John Fitz Bernard died without. heir of his and that. the said Maud and Margery are of full age, while and Robert are minors, and that the said manor is held in by knight service, to make a partition of the manor into four parts, and deliver to Margery her pourparty thereof, as the king taken her homage and fealty ; and to retain the other pourparties king's hand until further order.
