Order to the keepers of the king's studs in the counties of Surrey, Southampton, Berks and Oxford, and their lieutenants, and all sheriffs, mayors, bailiffs, ministers and other king's lieges, to be intendant to John Brocas, William de Wykham, Edmund Rose and William de Fremelesworth, whom the king has appointed to sell all his mares, foals, fillies and studs (equicia) in the said counties, the proceeds of such sale being delivered by indenture to the said William de Wykham and laid out by him on the king's works within the castle of Wyndesore. Order, also, to the said keepers and lieutenants to produce before John, William, Edmund and William all the said mares etc. By K.
