Order to the escheator in the county of Wilts ; pursuant to inquisition taken before Walter Veer, late escheator, showing John Sidele on the day of his death held a third part of the of Estbedewynde, and 4 messuages, 2 carucates of land, acres of wood and 8s. 9d. of rent in Estbedewynde, in his as of fee tail of the gift of John Lane, chaplain, and Morant, by a fine levied in the king's court with the licence, to the said John Sidele and Margery [his wife] the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the heirs of the of Margery; and that Margery was espoused to one John who had issue by her, one Christina whom Henry Parker taken to wife; and that Margery died without heir of her by John Sidele; and that the said third part is held of king in chiet by fealty, and the rest of the premises of others the king ; and that the said Christina is the daughter and heir of Margery, before the espousal of Margery and John and of full age ; to cause the said Henry and Christina have full seisin of the said third part, as the king has taken fealty due from Henry in this behalf ; removing the king's from the rest of the premises, which are held of others than the king, if they are in the king's hand by the death of John Sidele and for no other cause, and delivering to Henry and Christina any issues taken therefrom since the time of the death of John Sidele.
