Commitment to Richard Nevill, knight, by mainprise, found before the barons of the Exchequer, of John earl marshal and Thomas Stokdale of the county of Essex, of the keeping of all the manors, lands, rents and services late of Lucy late countess of Kent and Elizabeth late the wife of John Nevill, knight, which are in the king's hand by the death of the said countess and of the said Elizabeth (one of the sisters and heirs of Edmund late earl of Kent), tenants of the king in chief, and by reason of the minority of Ralph Nevill, Elizabeth's son and heir; to hold the same from Easter last until the full age of the said Ralph, and so from heir to heir until one of them shall have attained full age, rendering yearly the extent thereof, or as much as may be agreed upon between him and the treasurer; provided always that he maintain all houses, enclosures and buildings without waste or destruction, and support all other charges incumbent on the premises.
