Order to supersede until the quinzaine of Easter the demand made upon the men and tenants of the manor of Brehull the forest of Bernewode, which is of the ancient demesne of the crown England, it is said, for money for the expeditation of their dogs, so that an inquisition has been taken upon the matter, the king may cause is just and reasonable to be done, as the charter of the Forest contains dogs shall not be expeditated except in places where it was done before coronation of Henry ITI, and at the suit of the said tenants showing although their dogs had not been expeditated at the time of the first of Henry III, yet John exacts money off them for this, and beseeching the king to provide a remedy, the king has appointed de Greystok, John Bruyn and John le Venour to take an inquiupon the matter in the presence of the said attorney, the keepers, and verderers of the said forest.
