To Robert atte Noke. Order to be in chancery on the octaves of Martinmas next to answer for his contempt and deception, and to do and receive what the king's court shall consider, knowing that if he does not appear, the king will cause his letters of pardon to be revoked, and this to be published throughout the county where he is staying, and will punish him as he deserves, as the king caused letters of pardon to be made for him, for all homicides, felonies, robberies and trespasses committed against the peace of the king and his father, and the outlawries promulgated against him for this cause, and the king caused them to be retained in chancery, for certain causes, but Robert has cunningly caused those letters to be renewed by inspection of the chancery rolls and delivered to him, to the king's contempt and manifest deception of the king's court. Thomas de Ferariis, knight, puts in his place John de Knyghton and William de Burgh, to prosecute the execution of a recognisance for 200 marks made to him in chancery by Ralph de Wylyngton, knight. Michael de Presfen puts in his place John de Pokelyngton and William de Baumburgh, to gain or lose in a suit which is before the king in chancery between David le Mareschal and the said Michael, and Thomas de Baumburgh, as to whether David and Michael can show cause why the manor of Middelton near Belford should not be taken into the king's hands and delivered to David, and further to do and receive what the king's court shall determine.
