To the taxers and collectors in co. Kent, of the triennial tenth and fifteenth granted by the community of the realm. Order not to molest the master and brethren of the hospital of Ospryng, as the hospital was founded by Henry IIf, and is so slenderly endowed that if the hospital is charged with the aids granted by the commim'ty of the realm, it will behove the master and brethren to diminish the appointed alms. To Thomas de Metham, escheator beyond Trent. Order not to intermeddle further with the manors and lands which were taken into the king's hands, by reason of the death of Annora, late the wife of John de Lancastr[ia], restoring the issues thereof, as the king has learned by inquisitions taken by John Moryn, late escheator beyond Trent, that Annora held no lands at her death in her demesne as of fee in that bailiwick, but that she held for life with John, likewise deceased, the manor of Barton, co. Westmoreland, except a messuage, 67 acres of land, 25 acres of meadow, 500 acres of pasture, and 500 acres of moor there, by the grant of Ranulph de Dacre, with remainder at her death to Roger de Lancastrfia], for life, and reversion to Ranulph, and the said acres of land, the meadow, pasture, and moor of the grant of Robert Parvyng, with hke remainder and reversion to Robert, a messuage, 2 of land, 4 acres of meadow, 150 acres of pasture, and 10 acres of in Bethum, and the manor of Witherslake, co. Westmoreland, except messuage and 20 acres of land there by the grant of John de Cauntewith remainder to Roger, for life, and then to Michael, son of Robert Haveryngton, deceased; and that John de Hlaveryngton, knight, Michael's brother, is his next heir, and of full age, and that the manor and lands are held of others than the king, and that Ranulph and Robert Parvyng are of full age.
