To the keepers of the maritime land in co. Southampton. Order to supersede the distraint made on the prior of Shirburn to find a manat-arms for that custody as the king caused the priory to be taken into his hands, as alien, and committed the custody thereof to the prior to hold during pleasure, rendering 80/7. yearly, and although the prior and monks answer for that ferm, they have nothing beyond wherewith to live, yet the keepers distrain them to find a man-at-arms, whereupon the prior has besought the king to provide a remedy.
