To the collectors of customs in the port of Southampton. Order to John Baroncelli, Thomas de Peruch iis], and their fellows, merchants of the society of the Peruzzi, to load 430 sacks of wool in that and take it to their own parts, without paying the custom and due thereon, having taken security from them that they will not take it elsewhere, as they have undertaken before the king and his council at Walton, before the king's passage to parts beyond the seas, to pay 1,000/7 to the merchants of the society of the Bardi, tor their 1,000/., which they promised to pay to mariners and others in the king's galleys, for their wages, so that the merchants of the society of the Peruzzi should take 500 sacks of wool to their own parts, and the 1,000/. should be allowed to the merchants for the custom and subsidy due thereon, and they have besought the king to grant them licence to take that wool as aforesaid, loading 430 sacks in the port of Southampton, and the remaining 70 sacks im the port. of Bristol, as they have paid the said 1,000/. The king has likewise ordered the collectors of customs in the port. of Bristol, to permit the merchants to load the said 70 sacks there, and take them thence as aforesaid. By p.s.
