To the prior of Bath, collector in the diocese of Bath and Wells the three-yearly tenth granted by the clergy of the province of Order to cause 100/. to be allowed to the abbot of Glastonin the payment of the said tenth for the first term, provided that abbot shall pay the residue of the tenth, as the king appointed John Shordich and other leges to seek a subsidy from the men of co. for the defence of the realm, and the abbot granted 100/., caused them to be delivered upon condition that the money should allowed to him in any tenth granted by the clergy, and the abbot besought the king to cause such allowance to be made to him.
