To the same. Whereas after the death of John de Neusum, who bound at his death to render divers accounts for the time when had the custody of the king's stud this side Trent, and of the in divers of the king's parks, and divers other debts, the caused all the goods and chattels, animals and other things which to John, to be taken into his hands by reason of the said debts accounts, and ordered them to be kept until the said accounts had rendered at the exchequer and the king satisfied for the arrears were found to be due to him, and for all other debts which John to him, as far as those goods and chattels would suffice ; and the has learned that several sums of money are acknowledged to John, in chancery and before the mayor of York and the clerk deputed to recognisances of debts there according to the law merchant, by men, which were not paid to John while he was alive, and of which they are levied, the said arrears and debts of John may for the most part paid, the king therefore sends to the treasurer and barons the rolls of touching such recognisances, to be inspected and examined in a schedule enclosed in these presents, ordering them to view the of those recognisances and the letters obligatory of the statute, the contained in the recognisances and other debts contained in the letters and to cause them to be levied for the king's use with ali speed, infringing the law, so that by such debts satisfaction may be done the king for John's said debts. . 637
