To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to supersede the made upon minorite nuns of the order of St. Clare, without Allegate, by summons of the exchequer, for 15d. 16s. 23d. for divers tenths to the king and his progenitors, until Michaelmas next, and to cause to be released from any distraints made for that cause, because the nuns assert that they ought to be quit of such tenths, by bills of the pontiffs and other evidences, and they have continually prosecuted acquittance from such tenths before the king and his council in divers and the king has had compassion on their state. John de Hardeshull, knight, puts in his place William de Welyngoure and de Bifeld, clerk, to prosecute the execution of a recognisance for made to him in chancery by Baldwin de Frivill, knight. John de Neusom puts in his place Thomas de Pokelyngton, clerk, to the execution of a recognisance for 18/. made to him in chancery William de Iketon and Nicholas his son. John de Wodehous received attornement. Martin de Chigewell of London puts in his place William de Stok and de Tikhill to prosecute the execution of a recognisance for 4 marks to him in chancery by Richard de Garston, mason.
