To the sheriff of Cambridge. Order to pay to Master Jobn de Langetoft, warden of the scholars whom the king maintains in the university of Cambridge by his alms, 10 marks which the said John has intormed the king are in arrear for the pension of the houses where these scholars dwell, as to the king's great surprise, that sheriff has neglected to attend to a previous order directing him to pay by indenture to John the said arrears for the last two years.
