Essex, he had taken into the king's hand on the death of John Filliol, the issues to Margery, late the wife of the said John, as the king learned by inquisition taken by the escheator, that John and Margery John's death, held those lands jointly, by the gift and grant of Richard and of Richard de Bergholt, by a fine levied in the court of the late to be held by John and Margery for their life, with remainder to son of the said John and the heirs of his body, and that the said are held of the abbot of Westminster and of the abbess of Elnestowe divers services.
