Order to take Rhys (Resus) ap Howel and to cause him to be brought to the king, it is found by an inquisition taken before Hugh le Despenser, the elder, his fellows, justices appointed to enquire what malefactors hindered de Foxcote, sub-escheator in co. Gloucester, by force and arms seising the land of Gower into the king's hands by virtue of the king's that Master Rhys was one of the principal abettors and maintainers the aforesaid hindrance, etc. By p.s.
