Memorandum, that Sir Hugh le Despenser, the elder, on 1 August, Edward II., the king being at Guldeford, acknowledged in chancery before Master Robert de Baldok, archdeacon of Middlesex, the chanthat he had been fully satisfied for the 500 marks that Edmund de Lacu, Walter de-Norwico, and Peter de Colyngburn acknowledged they owed to him on 30 December, in the 5th year of the reign, and he and prayed that the recognisance should be cancelled and annulled.
