To the sheriff of Essex. Order, upon petition of Nicholas Hynde, mainprise of Thomas Lovel of Dalley of Middlesex, John Derhurst Gloucestershire, Richard Hynde of Essex and Richard Overton Oxfordshire to set him free, if Thomas May shall acknowledge that is contented of the damages to him adjudged, certifying the justices at the next assizes in that county ; as his petition shews that the finding of an inquisition, taken before Robert Bealknap and fellows justices of assize in Essex, that by force of arms, unlawfully without a judgment he disseised the said Thomas of his freehold Dunton Weylate, he was committed to Hertford prison until he content the king for his ransom and the plaintiff for his damages, that he after contented the plaintiff.
