Order to cause all the fencible men of clergy of that diocese or dwelling therein between the ages of and sixty to be furnished with arms, arrayed and kept in ready to march with the archbishop for defence of the realm danger threatens by invasions of the king's enemies which it is they are preparing, as it is the king's desire to resist the hurt peril that may thereby happen, and also ready to put down any of those parts who shall rise in unlawful assemblies or levies to the peace, and order if need be to compel them so to do ; writ of aid in favour of the archbishop to that end.
