Henry de Percy and his fellows justices appointed to preserve peace in the Estrithyng in Yorkshire. Order, upon the petition Edward of Hakeneys, by mainprise of Alan de Ake clerk, de Feriby and William Hundegate to stay altogether the execution of the king's writ against him ; as his petition shews at the suit of John Doweson of Hakeneys, untruly averring that said Robert threatened him grievously in life and limbs, the said according to their commission commanded him to be taken arested and committed to prison, unless he might find mainpernors to mainpern for him under a set pain to be laid upon them he should not by himself or by his procurement do hurt or harm said John's body, praying for remedy; and the said Alan, and William, appearing in person in chancery, have mainperned said Robert under a pain of 201. to be levied in case he shall do hurt or harm as aforesaid.
