Whereas lately the king ordered him to proclamation to be made within liberties and without on the behalf forbidding any man, under pain of forfeiture thereof and imprisonment of buyer and seller, to embrace, buy or forestall any corn in granges and stacks, or any corn before it should markets and fairs and be there exposed for sale in market overt, was and is the intent of the king and council that prelates, and other lords and men of the church may lawfully without sell their corn in houses, granges etc. where they think gross and in parcels any proclamation and the said prohibition provided that the pain of forfeiture and imprisonment shall be executed upon common embracers, forestallers and : order therefore, on sight of these presents, to cause proclamabe made of the premises in singular the fairs, markets, market towns and other places in his bailiwick, within and without, in form aforesaid. like to the sheriff of Essex and Hertford, to two other sheriffs other counties, the sheriffs of London, and the sheriff of made between William de Wykeham bishop of Winchester de Stonore, being a grant and surrender to the said his heirs and assigns, of the manor and advowson of Asshe and all the lands, rents and services heretofore of the in Overton, Quydhampton, Polhampton, Okle and Asshe county lately given by his charter indented to the said now by name of Sir William de Wykeham archdeacon of Lincoln for and to his heirs and executors for the term of 20 years after his and of all the said bishop's estate therein by reason of that gift ; grant and surrender the said Edmund has accepted so far as lies.
