Dated Milton, Thursday before 43 Edward III. of acknowledgment, 6 May. of Thomas de Seynt Manefu, giving with warranty to de Wykeham bishop of Winchester, his heirs and assigns, after of a term of 40 years, all his lands in the town of Chirchokle, parish of Wotton co. Suthampton and the hundred of Chittle, he the said Thomas by writing indented, made on Friday after Christi 36 Edward III, demised for that term to Philip de his heirs and assigns, at a rent of 6 marks a year payable at of Holy Cross and at St. Gregory by even portions, and to the said bishop the said rent until the term aforesaid. : Lawrence Seint Martyn, Bernard Brocas, Peter de Brugges, de Waltham clerk.
