To the sheriff of Essex. Order to stay until the day in the writ conthe execution of a writ de judicio, ordering the sheriff to take the of John Frensh of Brendwode so as to have him before the of the Bench at Westminster on the day therein named to William Reyner concerning an alleged trespass, bringing this before the said justices on that day; as the said William is imthe said John before them for the trespass aforesaid, and proceedings have gone so far as the writ above recited, wherefore is made to the king on behalf of the said John to stay the of his body by a mainprise, as he is ready to stand to right all things; and William Webbe and Thomas Clerc of London, in person in chancery, have mainperned for him under pain of 40/. to have him before the said justices on the day above
