Plays, knight, acknowledges that he owes to John Seynt Albon, and Robert Beauchamp 320 marks; to be levied, in payment, of his lands and chattels in Sussex. of indenture made between Sir Richard Plays, knight, of the and John Seint Albon, Henry Haveresham and Robert Beauchamp part, witnessing that Richard has granted to John, Henry and all the vesture of the wood of the manor of Warpesborn, co. called Gretwode, as well high wood as underwood, except the within the mote of the wood and the trees growing in the that mote, except the hays which do not extend to that wood, the vesture, both high wood and underwood, within the park of except the hedges and the trees growing upon the crest of and the border of the park by which it is surrounded, which the parish of Jaggeleye in the said county; also term, time and the date of these presents until the end of ten years, and from of that term until Michaelmas following, within which time he they, their executors or any to whom they may grant their may have ingress and egress to and from the said wood and cut the vesture there, according to the custom of the country, and the same at their will; and John, Henry and Robert grant that their executors and assigns may enjoy these things without of Richard within the said term, and if they be not disturbed of-any recognisance or other cause having birth before the making presents, nor by lease or feoffment, nor by any pretence to recover connivance or contrivance of.
