The same John acknowledges that he owes to the said Hugh 1081. 6s. 8d.; to be levied as aforesaid. Enrolment of grant by John son of Richard le Clere of Westfarlegh of the county of Kent to Richard le Clere, his father, of a yearly rent of 201. to be received at Midsummer of all his lands in the towns of Eylesford, Alynton, Hontyngton, Haldyng, Therstan and St. John in the isle of Thanet, co. Kent, Jil. 299 of distraint if the rent be in arrear. Witnesses: William atte William Danyel, John Basse, Robert de Norhampton, John Crowherst, Richard atte Seller, John Breynford, Henry de Ware. Dated Saturday before St. Valentine, 30 Edward III. that John came in the chancery at Westminster on 15 and acknowledged the preceding deed.
