de Overton, escheator in the county of Southampton. cause Roger son of John de Shelvestrode, kinsman and heir of Sancto Johanne, who held by knight service of the heir of de Roos of Hamelak, tenant in chief, a minor in the king's wardship, seisin of all the lands which Eva held of the said heir in her as of fee, at her death, as Roger has proved his age before Roger escheator in Sussex, and the king has respited his fealty next because he is in the king's service in the north.
