To the same escheator. Order to retain in the king's hand 15 tofts and 7 bovates of land in Wartre, and not to intermeddle further with the lands which William de Houton held of others than the king, delivering up the issues thereof, as the king has learned by inquisition taken by the escheator that William held at his death the said tofts and bovates in his demesne as of fee of the heir of William de Roos of Hamelak, tenant in chief, a minor in the king's wardship, by homage and by the service of a twentieth part of a knight's fee, and he held other lands in Wartre, Houton, Wyghton, Sywardby, Repplyngham and Ellerker of others than the king, and that William his son is his next heir and under age. ;
