To the sheriff of Hertford. Order to pay to Edward de Kendale, knight, whom the king appointed with other lieges to preserve the peace in that county and to enquire concerning servants, labourers and artisans who offended against the statute issued in the last parliament at Westminster and to cause them to be punished, the wages for himself and his clerk for forty days a year, if he sat for so long or for less, to wit mark a day of the extracts of the issues of Edward and his fellows, by indenture.
