de Charnels, clerk, acknowledges that he owes to Wilham de citizen and pepperer of London, 20/.; to be levied ete. in of Leicester. on payment. de Swynburn, knight, and John son of William de Taleworth, that they owe to Thomas de Lacy, knight, 200/.; to be in the county of Cambridge. on payment. of indenture made between Sir Thomas de Lucy and Sir Wynewyk, clerk, testifying that whereas the king lately granted the custody of the lands which belonged to Sir Thomas Damers in to hold until the full age of Margaret, daughter and heir of Thomas Damers, and in case she died under age, the custody of of her under age; and then the king, with John's assent, to Sir Thomas de Lucy the custody of the said lands to hold in the the said Thomas acknowledges that he is bound to John ina of 10/., to be paid in the cathedral church of St. Peter, York, full age of Margaret, or of her heir if she die under age etc. as aforethen the rent shall cease and with this the preceding recognisance its force. Dated at Westminster, 13 October, 24 Edward III. that both John de Wynewyk and Thomas de Lucy came into at Westminster on 14 October and acknowledged the preceding of indenture made between Sir Thomas de Lucy and John clerk, testifying that whereas Thomas is bound to John in by the above recognisance, to be paid at Michaelmas next, John if Thomas pay him a yearly rent of 10/. in the cathedral church York, according to the purport of the preceding indenture, shall be null. Dated at Westminster, 15 October, IIL. Wrench. that both John and Thomas came into chancery at Weston 16 October and acknowledged the preceding deed.
