To Guy Seintclier, escheator in co. Huntingdon. Order not to intermeddle further with the lands which he took into the king's hand by reason of the death of Robert de Wassyngle, restoring the issues thereof to Margaret, late his wife, after taking her fealty in accordance with the form of a schedule enclosed. with these presents, as the king has learned by inquisition taken by the escheator that Robert at his death held no lands in his demense as of fee in chief or of any others in that county, but that he was jointly enfeoffed with Margaret of a toft, 40 acres of land, 4 acres of meadow and 6 acres of wood in Wassyngle and the manor of Wassyngle, of the gift and enfeoffment of William le Clere of Adyngton, chaplain, by the king's licence, and that the said toft, land, meadow and wood are held in chief by the fortieth part of a knight's fee, and the manor is held of another than the king.
