To the mayor and sheriffs of London. Order to permit John Giffard of who is going on a pilgrimage to Santiago, to cross from the port of city. 3y p.s. [16583.) To the collectors of the triennial tenth in the archdeaconry of Gloucester. to supersede the levying of that tenth of the spiritualities of the of Evesham or of the teimporalities annexed thereto, until their next as the late king on 26 June in the 9th year of his reign granted the prior and conyent of that abbey should have the custody thereof the next yoidance for rendering 600 marks to him, and that they should the said custody in every succeeding voidance, saving to the .king the fees held of the abbey and the advowsons which should fall in the yoidances, rendering 240 marks for a voidance of four months, 200 marks for every succeeding four months and pro rata for a shorter longer time, and the abbey is now void by the death of William de the last abbot, as the king has learned.
