To John Dengayne, William de Thorp and John de Berneye. Order to at the town of Northampton and to convoke before them all those are bound to contribute to the fine which the men of co. Northampton for the trespasses and excesses committed by them and to cause that to be assessed among them, having regard to the quantity of their their estate and faculty, and to cause the portions assessed upon them be levied without delay by the sheriff of the county, as the king lately Robert Parvyng, John de Thoresby and the said John, William John to hear and determine divers trepasses and excesses committed by king's ministers and others in co. Northampton, and the king has that those who made the said fine of 4,000 marks before John Robert and John de Thoresby, to be assessed and apportioned the men of the county, were chosen and sworn before the said John, and John, could not collect the fine on account of the rebellion of who are parceners of the fine, and refuse to contribute thereto, wherethe fine for the most part remains to be levied. The king has ordered sheriff of the county to levy and deliver to them, for the time when they sitting upon the apportionment of the fine, their wages of the men of county because it is not apportioned and levied through their default.
