Surrey. Geofirey de Weston, citizen and draper of London, acknowledges that he owes to Richard de Basyngstok, citizen and goldsmith of London, 401.; to be levied, etc. in the city of London. Enrolment of deed testifying that whereas Sir Gaweyn de Suthorp has made a recognisance in chancery of 401. to Thomas de Whittslegh, Thomas grants that if he holds all his moveable chattels, verdure and crops of corn and hay in Welcombe, Kake, Luttokeshele, Pyndeghes and Seynt Johns park co. Devon without molestation from Gaweyn or Christina his wife after Gaweyn s death, then the recognisance shall be null, but otherwise it shall remain in force. Dated at London on Tuesday after 4 Midsummer, 15 Edward II. French. . Enrolment of deed testifying that whereas Thomas de Whiteslegh holds lands in Lottokeshele, Weleomb, Lake, Pyndheghes and Seyntjohnespark co. Devon by reason of a judgment made in the king's common court in the 11th year of the reign, by reason of a recognisance in law merchant _ made by Thomas Walrand of a debt of 231. before the mayor of Exeter and the clerk deputed to receive such recognisances, he releases to Sir Gaweyn de Suthorp and Christiana his wife all his estate in the said lands by virtue of the livery made to him in accordance with the judgment aforesaid.
