1340-05-29, Westminster
Order to deliver to late the wife of John de Percy son of George de Percy the manor with the member of 'l'ydecombe, the manor of Wodemancote and of the manor of Threule, together with the issues thereof, saving to king the homage and fealty due to him, if they have not been done or to his father, as the king has learned by inquisition taken by the escheator that John at his death held no lands in his demesne as of fee, but that he held the said manors member and moiety for life as of the right and inheritance of Elizabeth, and that the manor of Hertrugg and member are held in chief by the service of keeping a hawk at his own expense, and the manor of Wodemancote and moiety are held of John de Munbray by the service of a knight's fee and the fourth part of a fee.
