the sheriff of Somerset. Order to supersede the taking of Gilbert vicar of Mynhefd church, Robert Cristusham, chaplain, Walter Hugh le Clerk, Richard Prykyslade, Henry Prikyslade, William William Pyro, clerk, and Richard le Shepherde, by a mainprise, as have besought the king to order this to be done, as Thomas prior of impleads them before the justices of the Bench for a trespass upon him by them as is said, and although they have sufficient goods and chattels by which they can be distrained, yet the king the sheriff to take them, by a writ de judicio by process made before against them, they being entirely ignorant thereof; and Gilbert the others have found the following mainpernors in chancery, to wit: Heyron of co, Essex, John de Bekynton, of co. Somerset, Roger of co. Kent, John de Tamworth of co. Warwick, Thomas de of co. Oxford and Robert de Bridport of co, Dorset who have undertaken to have them before the justices on the day when the writ de judicio is returnable, to answer the prior for the trespass and further to do and receive what the king's court shall determine.
