Simon le Neweman of Wapenham and Hawisia, his wife, came before the king, on Monday the morrow of St. Gregory, and sought to replevy their land in Wapenham, which was taken into the king's hands for their default before the justices of the Bench against Thomas le Hunte and Sibyl, his wife. This is signified to the justices. Nicholas de Turvill acknowledges that he owes to Master Nicholas de Appeltre 24/.; to be levied, in default of payment, of his lands and chattels in cos. Northampton and Buckingham.
